The Reynard House in 1138.

The Reynard House was the residence of Blaise, Heloise, and Martin-Pêcheur Reynard in Vyones, France.

History

Blaise Reynard had a habit of being out late, either working well into the night on his sculptures, or choosing to frequent the nearby tavern. On Noveber 8th, 1138, Martin-Pêcheur wanted to stay up to see his home return home, but instead Grimalkin arrived, murdering Heloise moments after she attempted to put her son to sleep.

The next morning right outside the house, the now-orphaned Martin-Pêcheur was consoled by the tavern maid Nicolette Villom, who had also encountered Reynard's Stone Golems. ("For Not Everything With Wings...")

Characterisitcs

In addition to a living quarters, there was a dedicated work spacce for Blaise Reynard to work on his sculptures.

Real World Background

According to Clark Ashton Smith's "The Maker of Gargoyles", Reynard's home was not far the tavern. It was evidently "separated only by the length of a dark and crooked alley."
