In October 1195 AD, while visiting Constantinople, Shahrizad told Isaac Angelos the story of Youhanna Al Diyab - a boy who lived in Khaifang.
Real World Background
The original tale of Aladdin was not set in the fictional city of Agrabah, but rather an ancient city in China.
