When were the characteristics of the Loch Ness Clan revealed? I mean, the manta fins and dolphin tails are pretty much how I imagined they would look, but I can't find any citations. In fact, Greg has repeatedly stated on AskGreg that he hasn't decided what the gargoyles look like because he doesn't want to "tie the hands" of the artists when he finally introduces them. This information, and lots of other information was revealed to myself and a guy named Phil in a document that was the prize for winning the Gargoyles: 2198 contest more than five years ago. The document itself is the outline for a CGI Gargoyles: 2198 series proposal. Just about all the unique information in it is now on GargWiki, though I've been going over it to be sure, and clearly it is not canon yet. But, yeah, there ya go. --Matt 13 September 2007
