Solomon Hawke attended an assembly of Quarrymen led by John Castaway outside of the Park Manor Hotel to protest the Gathering of the Gargoyles Guild. Hawke listened to Castaway's speech, seemingly enraptured. [1]
Despite the efforts of the Gargoyle Taskforce to keep things peaceful, Hawke got by them and entered the hotel and drew his guns. Before he could carry out his attempted mass shooting, Goliath and Elisa Maza took him down and the suspended police detective placed him under citizens' arrest. Hawke justified his actions stating he wanted to make an example of the Guild before the rest of the world followed their example. ("Questions")
