History
David Xanatos made use of a gun that fired large staples as a means of restraining Goliath and Angela a top the Coyote Carving. When the arm-cannon in his exo-frame was destroyed by Bronx, Xanatos appropriated the staple gun as a weapon. ("Cloud Fathers")
Production Background
Similar weapons appeared in both The Spectacular Spider-Man and Young Justice. In the former, Silver Sable made use of a staple cannon as her primary weapon and in the latter, Black Beetle morphed the arm of his scarab armor into a staple cannon.
