"Rook" was a male gargoyle in ancient Northumbria. He never had a true name, but "Rook" is used to identify him.
History
"Rook" hatched in 998 AD and eventually became the leader of the Northumbria Clan. He welcomed Demona to the clan in 1093 and was a little surprised when she addressed him as "Rhydderch", having not heard that term since he was a rookling - instead identifying himself as leader. During her time spent with the clan, Demona argued with "Rook" about scattering the clan before sunrise, as staying together made them too easy a target for the humans. But "Rook" and his second-in-command refused to separate the clan as the humans of Northumbria had never hunted nor harmed them.
Unfortunately, Demona's warnings came true when that day, Canmore donned the mask of the Hunter and shattered the Northumbria Clan while the slept - "Rook" included. ("Fools Rush In...")
