Gargoyles Meets The Fantastic Four is a collaboration between Dynamite Entertainment and Marvel Comics crossing over Marvel's First Family, the Fantastic Four, with Gargoyles. Three crossovers are planned, all within continuity with each other. The first was "Send Up a Flare!", which teased the crossover on Free Comic Book Day, the second was "Both Alike In Dignity..." which was published by Marvel in October 2025, and the third, "Clan and Family...", was published by Dynamite in November 2025. All three were written by Greg Weisman with George Kambadais returning for "Send Up a Flare!" and "Clan and Family...". [1] [2]

Solicitation

Key members of the Manhattan Clan, including Goliath, Elisa Maza, Brooklyn, Katana and Nashville have been invited on a tour of one of the most impressive and technologically advanced buildings in their adopted home of New York City — the Baxter Building. Everything goes awry when a fearsome cast of foes from both mythos cross paths, including Coldsteel, the Gargoyle aka Yuri Topolov, and the deadly Annihilus. Fans will get to enjoy Franklin and Valeria bonding with Gnash, at least until everything gets out of control. Then both families — including Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Thing, the Human Torch, Broadway and Angela — will have to team up, split into teams, and save the day across Manhattan, the Negative Zone, and beyond.

Development

"Critically acclaimed for its rich mythology and complex characters, the beloved television series followed a group of ancient Gargoyles who reawakened in modern New York City and became defenders of the night! The character's adventures continue today in new comic series published by Dynamite Entertainment. Dynamite Entertainment will produce their own Gargoyles/Fantastic Four one-shot, also on sale in October and set in the same continuity as Marvel's upcoming one-shot. Across both sagas, fans will see Marvel's legendary super hero family team up with Goliath, Elisa Maza, Brooklyn, and the whole gang against villains from both team's respective universes."

Greg Weisman said, "It just feels perfect to have the First Family of the Marvel Universe interacting with the First Family of the Gargoyles Universe, i.e. the Manhattan Clan. These two sets of heroes, both operating out of Midtown Manhattan – one from the Baxter Building and one from the Eyrie Building – just have so much in common. And, let's face it, in ways big and small, Stan & Jack's Fantastic Four was a clear influence on the creation of Gargoyles back in the early '90s. Getting to work on this project really brought out the gleeful kid in me. SO MUCH FUN!"
