Praying Gargoyle - A magical artifact created by the people of Atlantis as a gift to the gargoyles, and has an Atlantean crystal inside which, when activated, protects all gargoyles everywhere from a specific threat. It has also been known to animate stone gargoyles.
In 1920, Demona found the Praying Gargoyle in the catacombs of Paris and attempted to use it to destroy Paris by taking control of the city’s gargoyles. In the ensuing battle with Fiona Canmore and Team Atlantis, the Praying Gargoyle was destroyed. But Demona recovered the remains and laid them in holy ground allowing it sixty years to regenerate.
Demona acquired in a secret hollow in the spires of Notre Dame Cathedral on the night of September 28th, 1980, and stole it. She planned to make use of it to protect her race from the effects of her magical plague as part of "Operation Clean Slate", but Goliath destroyed it, thus defeating her plan.
The Praying Gargoyle is due to regenerate once more in 2056.
