The grotto was a garden area located on Avalon. It is located near a lake.

History
The Archmage used the grotto as his base of operations when waging war on the Avalon Clan. ("Avalon" Part Two)
Characteristics
The pool in the grotto is magical in nature, capable of scrying individuals elsewhere on the island. The Archmage was able to see Goliath and Elisa Maza being brought up to speed by the Avalon Clan at Oberon's Palace. Later, after the Archmage was defeated, Angela was able to see the dying Magus in the Hollow Hill. ("Avalon" Part Two, "Avalon" Part Three)
