David Warner (July 29, 1941 - July 24, 2022) is a British actor who voiced the Archmage on Gargoyles. It was because of David Warner's impressive voice acting in "Long Way To Morning" that the staff of Gargoyles decided to bring back the Archmage for the "Avalon" three-parter.

His audio from "Long Way To Morning" was used in a flashback for The Goliath Chronicles episode "The Dying of the Light".

He is one of many Gargoyles actors who has also appeared in the Star Trek franchise: he played St. John Talbot in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Klingon Chancellor Gorkon in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and Cardassian torturer Gul Madred in the Next Generation episode "Chain of Command".
