Nicolas was a human boy who lived in the 10th Century. He lived in the village of Wyvern down the Reach near Wyvern Hill, Scotland.

History
He was an acquaintance of Mary and Alesand. In 971, he was bewildered by Alesand's friendship with the gargoyles. He was present for the stories told by Shahrizad's when she and the Light-Bringers visited Wyvern in 971. ("The Promise") While his parents had apprenticed him to Wick the Weaver, he had ambitions of becoming an actor. ("The Dream")
