The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent U.S. government agency that regulates broadcast radio and television and telecommunications.

History

After Demona cast her Stone By Night Spell across Manhattan which involved hijacking every station on television (including cable), Captain Maria Chavez shared that the FCC tracked the broadcast to PackMedia Studios. Upon learning this, Elisa Maza realized that, as usual, David Xanatos was responsible. ("City of Stone" Part One, "City of Stone" Part Three)

Real World Background

Created in 1934 during Franklin Delano Roosevelt's administration, the FCC today now also regulates the internet and satellite communications.
